AlphaESS Launches New All-in-One Energy Storage Systems for C&I Applications
AlphaESS has expanded its commercial and industrial energy storage portfolio with the launch of two new all-in-one C&I systems: the STORION-H30-G3 and STORION-H50-G3. Designed to meet the growing demand for compact, scalable and safe energy storage in commercial environments, the new solutions combine high performance with simplified installation and intelligent operation.
Both systems integrate PCS, EMS, BMS and lithium battery storage into a single cabinet, significantly reducing system complexity and deployment time. With this third-generation STORION platform, AlphaESS is targeting small to medium-scale commercial sites that require reliable peak shaving, self-consumption optimization, backup power and grid-interactive operation.
Compact Design with High Energy Density
Despite their high capacity, the STORION-H30-G3 and STORION-H50-G3 feature a footprint of less than 1.5 m², making them well suited for space-constrained commercial locations such as factories, farms, retail sites, logistics hubs, restaurants and mixed-use buildings.
The STORION-H30-G3 delivers 30 kW AC output paired with 72.3 kWh of storage, while the STORION-H50-G3 provides 50 kW AC output with 120.5 kWh of usable capacity. Both systems are built around modular 24.1 kWh LiFePO₄ battery units, allowing capacity expansion through an optional extension cabinet. With this, total storage can be doubled to 144.6 kWh and 241 kWh, respectively.
Flexible Scalability for Grid-Connected and Off-Grid Use
The new STORION G3 systems are designed for flexible deployment across different project sizes and operating modes. Multiple units can be connected in parallel, enabling grid-connected systems of up to 500 kW / 2.4 MWh and off-grid configurations reaching 200 kW / 964 kWh.
This scalability allows businesses to start with a single cabinet and expand over time as energy needs evolve, protecting investment value while supporting long-term energy strategies.
Optimized PV Integration and High Efficiency
On the solar side, the STORION-H30-G3 supports 60 kW DC input, while the STORION-H50-G3 accepts up to 75 kW DC, both featuring four MPPTs with two strings per tracker. This design enables flexible PV layouts and improved energy harvest in complex commercial installations.
With a maximum efficiency of 97.8%, European efficiency of 97.2%, and 92% round-trip efficiency, the systems are optimized to minimize losses and maximize usable energy—an essential factor for C&I projects focused on return on investment.
Safety-First Architecture for Commercial Environments
Safety plays a central role in the STORION G3 design. AlphaESS has implemented a triple fire-protection concept, including continuous smoke and temperature monitoring, audible and visual alarms, and internal aerosol fire suppression. The cabinet structure offers 1.5-hour fire resistance and is certified to UL 9540A, meeting international safety requirements for commercial energy storage.
Advanced thermal protection is ensured through nano-insulation materials, while smart power distribution enables millisecond-level fault isolation. The BMS supports cell-level fast shutdown and multi-stage electrical isolation, providing comprehensive protection across system, cluster and pack levels.
Built for Harsh Conditions and Global Deployment
The STORION-H30-G3 and H50-G3 systems are rated IP55 and designed to operate reliably in demanding environments, with an operating temperature range from -30°C to +50°C, humidity up to 90%, and installation altitudes of up to 3,000 meters. This makes them suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications worldwide.
Optional accessories, including metering solutions and parallel backup boxes, further enhance system flexibility and ease of integration.
