Schneider Electric Introduces Boost Pro: A Modular 200 kWh Battery Storage System for C&I Applications
Schneider Electric has expanded its commercial and industrial energy storage portfolio with the launch of Schneider Boost Pro, a new modular 200 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) designed to support the evolving power needs of industrial sites, commercial buildings, and energy-intensive infrastructure.
As energy costs, electrification, and grid constraints continue to reshape the C&I energy landscape, Boost Pro positions itself as a scalable, secure, and future-ready solution. Each unit delivers 200 kWh of usable energy, with systems expandable up to 2 MWh by combining up to 10 units, allowing businesses to grow storage capacity in line with operational demand.
Designed for Scalable Commercial Energy Use
At its core, Schneider Boost Pro is built around lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic cells, chosen for their long service life, thermal stability, and safety characteristics. The system provides 100 kVA of rated AC power per unit, making it well suited for applications such as peak shaving, load shifting, self-consumption optimization, and backup power in commercial and industrial environments.
With a depth of discharge of up to 93%, Boost Pro maximizes usable energy from every cycle, while a 700-millisecond response time ensures rapid reaction to load changes and grid events. Charge and discharge scheduling operates on a 30-minute transfer window, supporting predictable and efficient energy management strategies.
Built for Modern Energy Infrastructure
Schneider Electric positions Boost Pro not only as a building-focused energy storage system, but also as an enabler of wider electrification. The system is suitable for depot-based applications, including the charging of electric buses, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicle fleets. It can also be deployed in transit and roadside infrastructure, where reliable, high-capacity energy buffering is critical to support fast and stable charging.
This versatility reflects Schneider Electric’s broader strategy of delivering end-to-end energy solutions that integrate storage, power distribution, digital management, and cybersecurity into a single ecosystem.
Safety, Reliability, and Cybersecurity by Design
Safety and resilience are central to the Boost Pro architecture. The enclosure carries an IP55 protection rating, making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor installations. Integrated gas-based fire suppression enhances protection at system level, while the operating temperature range of –20°C to +55°C ensures reliable performance across diverse climates, with derating applied above 45°C.
Beyond physical safety, Schneider Electric has placed strong emphasis on data protection and secure communications. Encrypted data handling and cybersecurity measures are built into the system to meet the high standards expected in industrial and critical infrastructure environments.
Compact Footprint, Industrial-Grade Build
Despite its high capacity, Schneider Boost Pro maintains a relatively compact industrial footprint. Each unit measures approximately 1.26 m × 1.44 m × 2.18 m and weighs 2,557 kg, allowing it to be integrated into existing technical rooms, energy centers, or dedicated outdoor installations without excessive space requirements.
Supporting the Energy Transition at Scale
With Boost Pro, Schneider Electric reinforces its commitment to helping businesses navigate the energy transition through flexible, scalable, and digitally enabled storage solutions. By combining modular expansion, robust safety systems, and compatibility with modern electrified transport and commercial loads, Boost Pro addresses the real-world challenges faced by C&I energy users today.
As demand for energy flexibility, grid resilience, and electrification accelerates, modular systems like Schneider Boost Pro are set to play a key role in shaping the next generation of commercial and industrial energy infrastructure.
