Tigo Transitions to Fully Digital Installation Manuals for TS4 Flex MLPE

Tigo Energy has announced a major shift in how installers will access installation instructions for its TS4 Flex MLPE products. Beginning this month, all new shipments will no longer include printed manuals. Instead, each product box now features a prominent QR code that links directly to up-to-date digital guides, diagrams and short instructional videos.

The new system ensures installers always work with the most current version of Tigo’s documentation, eliminating the risk of outdated or misplaced paper manuals — a common issue on solar job sites. With a quick scan of a smartphone, technicians can instantly access step-by-step installation guidance, wiring instructions, safety information, and troubleshooting resources.

Nathan Mann, owner of Mann Solar, says this change will streamline on-site workflows:
“Not everyone loves reading manuals, but this QR code method makes it quick and easy to get exactly the right information right when you need it. And we no longer have to worry about paper instructions getting lost, destroyed or blown away on the job. It’s also helpful for installers who are just starting with Tigo products and haven’t gone through the Green Glove program yet.”

A Global, Multilingual, Always-Updated Documentation Platform

Tigo currently serves more than 127 countries, and the company says the digital shift will help reduce language barriers and simplify global operations. Instead of printing multi-language inserts for each product, installers will automatically receive documentation in their own localized language — all maintained in real time.

Each QR code links directly into the Tigo Academy ecosystem, giving installers access to:

This helps new and experienced installers deepen their product knowledge while keeping pace with evolving technology and installation best practices.

Sustainability and Operational Benefits

Going digital also reduces the environmental footprint associated with printing and distributing paper manuals. For Tigo, the transition supports a broader effort to streamline global logistics and reduce waste while improving the customer experience.

With solar installations becoming increasingly complex — and with MLPE playing a central role in safety, monitoring and module-level power optimization — having instant access to accurate, up-to-date digital information is becoming essential.

Tigo’s move to all-digital manuals marks a natural evolution for an industry that continues to push toward smarter, cleaner and more efficient workflows in the field.
